Bryan Carter
Bryan Carter, a native Texan,
lived on a working dairy farm as a child. His natural talent became known
in the 3rd grade in Axtell, Texas, when he did illustration artwork on blackboards
for various teachers’ lessons.
Through time, Bryan’s life went in all directions, but his art went
with him in some form. It was in the year 2000 that his eyes were opened
with the words, “You have cancer!” Then a presence of something
larger came over him. During the year of his recovery, Bryan knew his life
would change one more time. He now paints magnificent animals on beautiful
pieces of petrified wood that can be 23 – 40 million years old!
At the age of 57, Bryan has chosen wildlife as the subject of his art, stone
and petrified wood as his canvas, realism as his style, and an occupation
as a full-time artist with the grace of God as his teacher.
